I have a long soak and general pampering session each Sunday and have had this routine as long as I can remember. It makes me feel all clean and fresh and prepares me for the week ahead.
This week's Sudday Soak features the visually absolutely gorgeous Secret Garden bath bomb by Lush...
I was a little unsure when I first popped the bath bomb in the water as it seemed to be colouring the water a dirty grey. After a few moments, the water started turning a luscious, fresh and fertile green which reminded me of leaves in Spring. As the bomb fizzed away rose petals, blue mallow flowers and marigold petals were released in all different colours. I suppose this was the hidden secret garden within.
The scent was gorgeous and fresh. I wouldn't say overly floral or fruity. It was probably somewhere in the middle. For me, the scent is not one of Lush's most memorable.
When I was in the bath the water felt so silky and my skin so smooth. Afterwards, my skin felt soft and was beautifully scented although the scent was not long lasting.
The bath did not stain at all but it was a pain clearing up all the flowers.
Full of flowers and the scent of spring – this will create serene and tranquil bath that will bring you back to life. Gorilla perfumer Simon created this fragrance using rose, sweet wild orange and rosewood oil to create a floral, earthy and uplifting feel. The green part of this bomb is partly made using bubble bar mix, which means it fizzes slowly for a long relaxing bath under a green carpet of foam.
