With my favourite colour being green, I am attracted to anything green so this cleanser really stood out a mile to me. I eventually bought a few lipsticks and blushes and my poor husband endured a whole flight home with me wishing I had bought this too!
On Valentines day this year a little MAC bag was at the end of the bed with this inside...
Fresh, vibrant, skin-tingling cleanser with refreshing extracts of cucumber and algae. Full-on foam, yet delightfully soap-free. Conditions, nourishes and hydrates leaving skin clean, clear, smooth and protected. For a blast of freshness for the skin; just activate with water.
Instructions are pretty general to most cleansers; water, lather, rinse and avoid eye area.
A tiny amount of Gel really lathers into a lovely thick foam but I did not feel any tingling on my skin during or after use.
Based on several uses, my skin feels as I would expect after cleansing, clean and fresh. I have not noticed any extra skin benefits for using this Gel.
Now my problem with this Gel is the instructions clearly say avoid the eye area. However, I use cleanser to remove my make up and the eye area is often the part of my face that requires cleaning the most! I must hold my hands up and admit that I did try to remove my eye make up with the Gel. Even though I do have have sensitive eyes, my experience was moderate stinging for a minute or two after I had rinsed. I won't be trying that again...
I do mostly like this Gel but will not repurchase. Personally, I did not feel that it benefited my normal/dry skin. Further, I prefer a product that can be used to clean the skin in the morning and to remove make up in the evening. Back to Philosophy's Purity...
