I Love... Strawberries & Milkshake is spot on fragrance-wise. It reminds me of a chewy Chewit-type sweet from childhood but I can't think what they were called.
I Love... Lemons & Lime's fragrance does not smell entirely like I would have expected. It smells like a childhood favourite of mine, a scoop of vanilla ice cream dropped into fizzy lemonade. I really like it, it's very original.
I Love... Vanilla & Ice Cream is a very, very sweet vanilla. It makes me think of the fragrance of a Mr Whippy ice cream whilst still in the tub, but on the skin the scent disappears fairly quickly.
The cream is thick but more like a wet-thick (like Soap & Glory) than a buttery-thick (like The Body Shop) which I hope makes sense. It absorbs very easily and quickly into the skin leaving absolutely no residue whatsoever. This is great news as it means no waiting around for twenty minutes before getting dressed!
The cream does have some immediate benefits; it softens and fragrances but for my thirsty skin it just wasn't enough. After an hour or so after application, it was like I hadn't applied anything at all.
I Love... Body Butter is particularly good for the summer months as it is light, easily absorbed and is available in some great summery fragrances. Results are okay but not amazing but really for a low priced body butter, I am not complaining.
As you can see from the ingredients, it isn't really the best formula to use. However, I Love... shouldn't be singled out for the use of Parabens, as other brands like Vaseline and No7 etc use them too. I am not a scientist and I am not going to preach whether or not you should use products containing Parabens but if you are concerned, then there are plenty of online resources available to assist you in making an informed decision.
Superdrug sells I Love... Body Butter here for £2.99 (currently on offer buy one get one half price!). I see that the packaging is different so I am assuming that I have purchased older stock which is why I got it so cheaply.
Have you tried I Love...??
