I used Garnier primer on the back of my hand and created some swatches to show examples of colours that can be achieved. The pictures are taken in different lighting conditions.
The colours are quite sheer and shimmery on my skin. The lighter shades seem less pigmented than the darker ones. The shades are perfect for me and very usable for warm toned skin.
The colours do not seem to work well together. They just don't blend and the end results for me always seem to be one shade regardless of how I mixed them.
A little test that I always perform for longevity of product is the 'rub test' (great name huh?) where I rub over the back of my hand to see how the product stays on the skin. Unfortunately, the results were not good at all. All brown shades disappeared very quickly and I was left with only a pale gold shimmer. As I already mentioned, I had used a primer too which should have assisted the product. This would be acceptable for a highlighter but not an eyeshadow.
The Countless Colour Pigments just don't seem the usual quality of Stila or at least Encore doesn't. I cannot comment on the other shades as I have not tried them myself although reviews that I have read online seem to point to similar issues.
I really wanted to love this product and buy all five colours that are available in Selfridges. I wanted to tell you how amazing they are but unfortunately, after my own experience and reading other reviews I just can't...
Stila Countless Colour Pigments are available here for £14.00.
