MeMeMes' website contains a tip that the cream should be left for three to five minutes before applying foundation to ensure that an even and smooth application is achieved.
The cream is not silicone based but rather a very rich moisturiser which is perfect from normal to dry skin which I have. I found that the cream absorbed into the skin within a few minutes of application and cleverly targeted my most needy, dry areas. The result was a much smoother base for my make up application, although I actually wore this product alone on several 'no make up, make up days' to simply smooth over and brighten my skin.
The inclusion of Shea Butter makes it a much richer and somewhat heavier cream that may not be suited to oily or combination skin.
Any purchaser should note that without the inclusion of silicone this product is not able to blur any imperfections of the the skin such as open pores or fine lines. MeMeMe simply claim that the active nutrients and extracts work to brighten, smooth and even out skin tone to prime and create the perfect base for makeup application.
The cream has a fresh citrus fragrance which is gorgeous and not overpowering at all.
When I did apply full make up (foundation etc) I found that Seventh Heaven really did prepare my skin well. This product alone did assist my make up staying in place all day fairly well, but on most occasions I still used a tad of silicone primer around my nose and cheeks to hide my pores.
Below some pictures of application on the back of my hand showing definite signs of improvement!
MeMeMe Moisturising Facebase is available here for £15.00.
