Latest trend? Niche, high-end, emerging? Latest products?
I can only assume that the questionnaire that I initially filled out is created for data selling purposes. It clearly states that I have brown hair which renders the bun, doughnutty thing absolutely no use. The ring is getting a bit outdated now anyway and quite honestly, if you don't own one of these things by now then it would be fair to say you don't want one! With summer approaching, the trend has moved to wavy, beach swept or 'mermaid' hair, low ponytails or poker straight. I don't understand why this is a Summer Edit product. Just to add a little more salt (or maybe caustic soda?) to the wound, I find the product literally in the bargain bin with 50% off in my local store. Later, I confirm this online too.
The gloss is not on Superdrug's webpage but I remember buying an I Love... gloss for my daughter (who is aged 7) sometime last year and it cost about £1. I have used MUA as an example for calculating purposes. I have seen reviews for this product as far back as 2011 online. The tube is sucked in which I have seen in some older products before. The fact that it is no longer available on the webpage may tell you something. Make you own mind up...
The B. nail polish in Mermaid is a nice colour, it has a gentle glittery shimmer, and will look nice for the summer months. This product is half price AND 3 for 2 in Superdrug at the moment. A few days after first checking, it is now out of stock so I can only assume this is another product that Superdrug wanted to shift.
The mascara is okay. I believe it was launched in 2013 and has some good reviews.
One thing I absolutely find frustrating is receiving a conditioner without a shampoo or vice versa. I am fairly happy to try out this sample of conditioner which is worth about £2.00.
22p more value than I actually paid. Wow! What can I say?
My expectations from Glossybox UK are samples (as promised) of niche, high-end and emerging products and I get a £1 gloss that has been on the market for at least 3 or 4 years.
I have now cancelled my subscription after years of being their customer and mostly ordering two boxes to share with my Mum.
I see that Glossybox USA collaborated with Bergdorf Goodman this month which is a very high end, New York department store.
Did you jump around in Glossy delight this month or did you feel that your box was shoddy and dull like mine?
