Whish Lavender Body Butter 22ml For a body butter, this product is extremely light and easily absorbed. The consistency is not exactly runny but not far away. The fragrance reminds me of Lush's Twilight Shower Gel, a sweet, almost candy like lavender which is absolutely gorgeous. RRP £14.50/150ml here £2.13
Gilchrist & Soames Mineral Bath 40ml I am not sure whether a bath is something I associate with the summer but the sea kelp extracts make it one of the most ideal and perfect summer fragrances. I think I will use this to wash my feet ready for summer pedicures. RRP £11.25/236ml here £1.91
Weleda Millet Millet Nourishing Shampoo 18ml I find it a bit annoying getting a shampoo and no conditioner usually, but in the summer when I wash everyday and spray my Schwarzkopf got2b Beach Matt Texturizing Salt Spray I often don't condition anyway. I have tried various Weleda products before and not been disappointed so I have high expectations for this shampoo! £8.95/190ml here £0.85
Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream 7ml I was literally at the stage of getting over the feeling that Balance Me was a magazine freebie or constant beauty box brand. I have received this product before in beauty boxes so I am really not excited to see it included here and will probably pass it on to a friend. £20.00/15ml here £9.33
Laqa & Co. Lip Lube in Menatour deluxe size When I saw the available colours, I had hoped for the coral Lip Lube. Now that I can see this with my own eyes, I am really, really happy that I received this one. It's a really beautiful purplely pink shade that I don't have in my lip collection. The pigment is fantastic with this product as I would expect Laqa & Co. and the minty fragrance leaves my lips refreshed and tingling! The sample size is quite generous, it measures about 3/4 inch or so. RRP £14.00/3.7g here £5.00 (approx.)
Ultra Dex Fresh Breath Oral Spray full size As an old married person with little ones, it is very doubtful that I will be having any first kisses on holiday. If on the other hand you are traveling to you holiday destination as a young free and single person then this would probably be a really great product to have in your handbag. The product claims to have anti-bacterial properties as well as fighting plaque & gum problems so perhaps after eating some spicy foods in Greece this summer, I will use it as a nice, refreshing and product to promote a healthy mouth. RRP £3.65/9ml here
The value received isn't amazing this month but equally not bad either. The products are generally pretty good and varied. Gilchrist & Soames and Whish are brands that I haven't come across before so I am pretty excited to try and the Lip Lube is not a colour that I would have purchased myself but I really like it.
I am a little disappointed with Birchbox that the bigger, preferred bloggers reveal the contents almost a week before they arrive and before Birchbox themselves have even released spoilers! The excitement of the box then becomes a little stale by the time it reaches delivery day. Perhaps they could request those bloggers to hold off until delivery morning? Just a thought...
I also received a card giving me a little sneak preview of a cute toiletry bag which will be included in August.
